1. Change-of-mind returns
If you received the correct product but simply changed your mind, you may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date, provided the conditions below are met.
- The product is unused, undamaged and in a condition suitable for resale.
- Original packaging, accessories, manuals, cables, remotes and any included components are returned with the product where reasonably applicable.
- Any safety or hygiene seals are still intact.
- Hygiene-sensitive goods (personal care, grooming, intimate apparel, earphones and similar items) can only be returned for a change of mind if they are still sealed and unopened.
Return cost: for change-of-mind returns the customer is responsible for the cost of returning or collecting the product. We will confirm the exact courier fee in writing before the collection is booked, and it can either be paid upfront or deducted from your refund — your choice.
Once the returned product has been received and checked, and if it meets the conditions above, you may receive a refund, replacement, exchange or store credit. Which of these applies depends on stock availability and the nature of the return, and we will agree the outcome with you before finalising it.
2. Incorrect, damaged or missing items
This section applies if:
- you received a different product to the one you ordered;
- the product arrived damaged; or
- items, parts or accessories are missing from your order.
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible — ideally within 7 days of delivery — at returns@asapdeals.co.za or 0635 329 666. Where relevant, send photographs of the product, the packaging and the shipping label so we can log the claim with the courier.
We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, repair, refund or another suitable remedy. Where the fault lies with us or the courier, we carry the full cost of the return or collection.
3. Faulty or defective products
This section covers products that are defective, faulty, unsafe or that fail to perform as reasonably expected.
Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, goods supplied to you must be of good quality, in good working order and free of defects. Where the Act applies, you generally have six months from delivery to return a defective product, and you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the law.
- Defective products may be assessed, tested or inspected — by us, the supplier or the manufacturer — before a final resolution is provided.
- We will keep you updated on the assessment and will not unreasonably delay a valid claim.
- Asap Deals will never use this policy to remove or reduce any right you have under applicable law.
Reasonable exclusions may apply where the defect was not caused by a manufacturing or product fault — for example misuse, accidental damage, liquid damage, unauthorised modification or repair, incorrect installation, normal wear and tear, electrical surges (where applicable), or failure to follow the product instructions. If an assessment shows one of these causes, we will explain the finding to you and discuss the available options, including a paid repair where possible.
4. Extended warranty on selected products
Selected products may include an extended warranty that provides coverage beyond the standard warranty or statutory consumer protection period. The applicable extended warranty period and specific terms will be displayed on the relevant product page. Extended warranties apply only to products specifically advertised as including this benefit.
- Not all products carry an extended warranty. It applies only where the product page, product description or warranty information clearly states it.
- The duration varies by product (for example 12, 24 or 36 months) and is shown on the relevant product listing.
- Unless otherwise stated on the product page, extended warranty cover starts on the date of delivery.
- Cover typically applies to functional failures arising from manufacturing or component defects. It usually excludes accidental damage, misuse, cosmetic wear, consumables (such as batteries and filters), and damage caused by unauthorised repairs — the exact inclusions and exclusions are shown with the product where applicable.
- You may be asked for proof of purchase, such as your order number or invoice, when submitting a warranty claim.
- Claims may require troubleshooting, inspection, repair, replacement, or referral to the relevant supplier or manufacturer.
An extended warranty is additional protection. It does not remove, replace or limit any rights available to you under applicable South African consumer protection law.
5. Products that may not be eligible for return
Subject to applicable law, the following may have return restrictions for change-of-mind returns:
- Personalised, custom-made or made-to-order products.
- Hygiene-sensitive products that have been opened or used, where a return would not be appropriate for health or hygiene reasons.
- Products where a safety or hygiene seal has been broken, where applicable.
- Perishable goods.
- Digital products, downloadable content, gift cards and prepaid vouchers.
- Products damaged after delivery through misuse or accidental damage.
Nothing in this section is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer protection law.
6. How to request a return
7. Return costs
Change-of-mind returns
The customer pays the courier collection or return cost. We confirm the exact amount before booking, and it can be paid upfront or deducted from the refund.
Incorrect, damaged or defective products
Asap Deals covers the return or collection cost. Where a product qualifies as defective under applicable consumer protection requirements, costs are handled in accordance with the law and the circumstances of the claim — at no charge to you.
8. Refund processing
- Refunds are processed after the returned product has been received and, where necessary, inspected.
- Approved refunds are made to the original payment method where possible. If that isn't possible, we'll arrange an EFT to your bank account or store credit, with your agreement.
- We aim to process approved refunds within 3–7 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time for the funds to reflect.
- Where the return is due to our error or a defective product, any original delivery fee is refunded as well.
See our refund policy for a short summary of refund eligibility.
9. Exchanges and replacements
Whether we can exchange or replace a product depends on:
- current stock availability;
- the reason for the return;
- the product's eligibility under this policy; and
- the outcome of any inspection, where applicable.
If a replacement is unavailable, we will contact you to agree an alternative resolution — this may be a similar product, store credit or a refund, where applicable.
10. Warranty claims
To log a warranty claim, please send us:
- your order number or other proof of purchase;
- the product name and, where available, the serial number;
- a clear description of the fault and when it started; and
- photos or a short video where appropriate.
We may request additional information, take you through basic troubleshooting, or arrange for the product to be inspected, repaired, replaced or referred to the relevant manufacturer or supplier. Send warranty claims to support@asapdeals.co.za.
11. Important consumer rights notice
Nothing in this Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy is intended to limit, exclude or replace any rights that customers may have under applicable South African consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
If you believe a return or warranty claim has not been handled fairly, contact us at support@asapdeals.co.za and we will review it.
